Version 1.2.5 sharpens the day-to-day experience for engineering and procurement teams. It ships the Part Thumbnail System with AI-powered extraction from PDF drawings, a BOM Revision Diff view that highlights changes in red and green between iterations, full rollout of the Agent Framework execution engine with rate limiting, and significant multi-selection performance improvements in busy BOMs. The context menu gains batch partial-order, release, and release-all actions. The Visual Designer scroll bug after AI narrative generation is fixed, and thumbnail extraction is now fully synced between the File Vault and the per-part thumbnail popup.

Highlights

  • -Part Thumbnail System — Attach visual thumbnails to any BOM part. Upload manually or let the AI extract the isometric/3D view directly from your PDF or image drawing. Thumbnails are toggled as a per-user preference so teams that don't need them keep a clean table.
  • -AI Thumbnail Extraction — The edge function uses GPT-4 vision to locate the isometric or principal view inside an engineering drawing, crop it tightly, and strip whitespace. Works from both the per-part thumbnail popup and the File Vault batch extractor.
  • -BOM Revision Diff — New comparison view between BOM iterations. Added parts are highlighted in green, removed parts in red, and changed fields are clearly marked. Instantly see what changed between any two revisions.
  • -Agent Framework — Full rollout of the AI Agent execution engine with per-organization rate limiting, execution logs, and a confirmation queue for auto-execute actions. External agents can now read, suggest, or act on BOM and project data through scoped API tokens.
  • -Multi-selection Performance — Substantially reduced render overhead when selecting and operating on many rows simultaneously in high-density BOMs. Checkbox state updates no longer trigger full-table re-renders.
  • -Context Menu Batch Actions — Right-clicking on a multi-selection now exposes Partial Order, Release Selected, and Release All actions directly in the context menu, removing the need to open separate dialogs for common procurement workflows.
  • -Visual Designer Scroll Fix — Fixed a bug where the Visual Designer would jump to the bottom of the page immediately after the AI Quote Narrative generation completed.
  • -File Vault Thumbnail Sync — Thumbnail extraction logic in the File Vault is now fully synced with the per-part thumbnail popup: same AI confidence threshold, same autotrim algorithm, same fallback behavior. Previously the two code paths diverged.
  • -Autotrim Algorithm Improvement — Replaced the bounding-box pixel scan with an edge-inward row/column scan that stops at the first row or column containing actual content. This prevents thin drawing frame lines and title block borders from being included in the thumbnail crop.
  • -Minor UI and Stability Fixes — Various small improvements to loading states, error handling, and visual consistency across the BOM table, quote designer, and production modules.
